This is another Buddyfly from my animal project. What am I making animals for? I’ll tell you in the next few posts!

When I was asked to make animals for 3-4 yr olds, I wasn’t sure what to expect since the only animals I ever draw are kitties and gerbils. This was one of the first ones I drew. I call him Buddyfly lolss. *cheese smile.
He’s looking up ’cause that’s where he came from!
Well, if I thought I was gonna have more free time after college, I was wrong! However, I’m doing things I enjoy so it’s less pimples on my face, ya know? Haha!
These are rejected character sketches but still worth doing!
Amidst the freelance projects, I have had the pleasure of spending time with my fiance and his nephew at the park. Today, a bunch of 5-6 year olds joined in on playtime and it just confirmed again why I draw for them. Because I love them!! Little kids are so refreshing to be around and I wish I could carry them all in my pocket wherever I go.
Memorable things said:
“I’m getting a cat. I’ll share it with you.”
“Are you a mommy?”
“Lindaa!”
“You have a really big thumb! It goes all around my hand.”
“Are you the playground mommy?”
“Lindaa!”
“Can you hold my hand?”
“I loveee you”
I think I’m scrapping this composition but I liked the lines.
In other news, I’m still in the real world, still have much to learn, and still engaged. Not much has changed since the last post, yet everything is changing.
In the meantime, keep drawing, keep painting, and check out my new joint blog with my favorite art buddies at http://www.sketchyadventures.blogspot.com! It’s just for funsies, imaginative, and completely ridiculous.
